TikTok has said which signals its recommendation system weighs most, and shares sit at the top of the list, above likes and above comments. The reasoning is simple: a like costs nothing, but a share means a viewer wanted somebody else to see the clip. The share count is shown next to the arrow under every video, and on a good clip it is often a fraction of the like count, which makes even a small batch visible.
This service adds 10 shares. Each is an account on the network using the share function on the video, the same action any viewer performs. Shares arrive over an hour or so and the count updates as they do. They are kept; TikTok does not revisit them.
The target is a video link, short or full, from a public account. The form checks the format. Videos with sharing disabled in their privacy settings cannot be shared and the request fails; the default setting allows it.
Shares amplify a video that is already moving. A clip with a few hundred views and a handful of hearts that suddenly gets shared tells the feed the trial audience did more than watch. A clip with no views that gets shared tells it nothing it can use.
A like costs nothing, but a share means a viewer wanted somebody else to see the clip.
