That is why this service is small, slow, and honest about what it can do.
The target is a channel handle, the part after youtube.com/@, or a full channel link. Channel names are not unique and are not accepted; the handle is. You will find it on the channel page under the banner. The channel must be public, which all channels are unless they have been terminated.
Subscribers arrive over a couple of hours, one account at a time, spaced so that the growth looks like growth. The public count then catches up on YouTube's own schedule: once a channel passes a thousand, the number is shown in rounded steps and updated on a delay, so a batch of 10 may appear as a small jump some hours later rather than as 10 individual ticks.
Use this to keep a young channel from looking empty while you upload. Do not use it to reach a milestone that a review will check: the partner programme looks at watch time and audience behaviour, and free subscribers bring neither.
