Instagram measures shares as sends: the paper-plane icon under a post, which forwards it to someone in a message. It is the signal the company itself has pointed to as the one it watches most closely, because a person who sends a post to a friend has done something more deliberate than a like or even a save. The public counter is small, often single digits, which makes a modest batch look substantial.
This service adds 100 shares to the post you name. Each is an account on the network sending the post onward. The share count under the post rises accordingly on accounts where Instagram displays it, and the post's reach in insights reflects the extra distribution over the following day.
The target is a feed post or Reel link. Reels benefit most, since Instagram surfaces Reels with high share rates to people who do not follow you. Feed photos benefit too, but the effect is quieter.
As with saves, this is a signal that works on a post already in motion. Sending shares to something nobody has seen tells the system there is interest without anything to back it; sending them to a post with a few dozen likes and some saves gives it a reason to look again.

Limits worth knowing
- Shares are delivered as sends through direct messages. They are not reposts to a story and do not appear on anyone's profile.

- The post must be public. Private accounts cannot be shared from.
- Shares do not add likes, comments or saves; those are separate services.
