A story is the one place on Instagram where the audience is listed by name, and where the viewer count is visible to the person who posted it and to nobody else. It is also the format that decays fastest: twenty-four hours and it is gone. Story views are a private reassurance and a ranking signal, and both have to arrive before the clock runs out.
This service is unusual because the target is a username, not a link. Stories do not have stable links; they have a profile they belong to. The network opens the profile and watches whatever is in the story tray at that moment. If there is no story up, nothing can be watched and the request fails. If there are several slides, the views apply across them.
Views arrive quickly, usually within the hour. The count appears in your own story viewer list. Because the account has to be public for the network to see the story, this service does not work for close-friends stories or for private profiles.
Send it soon after posting. A story that is a few hours old has had its chance in your followers' trays; a story that just went up with a batch of views behind it is more likely to be shown near the front.

Limits worth knowing
- A story must be live at the moment of sending. No story, no delivery, and the timer still applies.
- Close-friends stories cannot be viewed by the network. Only ordinary public stories qualify.
- One batch per profile every 6 hours.
- Views apply to whatever slides are up; you cannot pick a single slide.
- Views do not add replies, reactions or sticker taps.
Questions
Why does the form ask for a username instead of a story link?
Story links expire within a day and often cannot be opened without logging in. The profile is the stable address; the network watches whatever story is on it.
What if I post a new story after sending?
Views that have not yet been delivered may land on the new slide as well. Views already delivered stay where they landed.
Can I see who the viewers are?
Yes, in the usual viewer list under your story. They will be accounts you do not recognise, which is the point.
Does this work on highlights?
No. Highlights are archived stories with their own counters and are not reached by this service.
How fast do the views arrive?
Usually within the hour. Send shortly after posting so they land while the story is fresh.
